In March 2015 I decided to enroll at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. It is a one-year online program exploring different dietary theories and how food plays such an important role in our health and wellbeing. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what the program would be like, but earning a health coach certification seemed very appealing to me, especially after the food related health issues I was having (read more of my health story here).
Well, I didn’t like the program… I LOVED it! I thought I knew all there was to know about food, but I thought, why not just give it a try?! Not only did I learn a ton, but I was also able to improve my health in other areas of my life (because we can eat the healthiest diet in the world and still not be healthy emotionally or spiritually). It was such a wonderful investment in myself, in my family, and in the clients that I coach.
Still finding yourself wanting to know more about my experience with IIN or more details about the program? Keep reading below or contact me, I’d be happy to have a conversation with you!
Even if you aren’t looking to become a health coach and just want to invest in the health and wellness of your family, IIN is where it’s at!

What is a Health Coach?

  • A Health Coach is a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health Coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments.

  • “In recent years, a new and intriguing concept has emerged in the prevention and treatment of chronic illness: the Health Coach.” – CBS News

Why are Health Coaches Needed?

  • 1.6 billion adults worldwide are obese and 366 million have diabetes. We spend trillions on healthcare and are still getting sicker and our life expectancies are getting lower.

  • The existing healthcare system is just not sustainable. The future of healthcare is about education and prevention.

  • Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches educate and support people around the world to find their way to better health.

  • Health Coaches are at the forefront of today’s health revolution, offering services and filling gaps that doctors, nutritionists and dietitians don’t have the time or resources to fill.
